If you not yet could dive in Raja Ampat, then you have a choice much easier and cheaper by visiting the island of Bali. This paradise island has a lot of dive spots and beautiful places to snorkeling.

If you are ready to dive in Bali, then you need to visit the "sister island", Nusa Penida. Bali has several small islands and the island of Nusa Penida is the biggest. Nusa Penida in Klungkung regency is located; you can cross to the island from Sanur beach. You can also go through the Port of Benoa-Nusa Penida Island with cruise ship Bounty Cruises and Bali Hai Cruises for 1.5 hours. You can also go to Nusa Penida through Padang Bay-Port Mentigi, 1.5 hours by ferry. All of these paths can be selected according to your wishes.

The underwater beauty of Nusa Penida is supported with clear water and clean add value to the region. You can do the diving and snorkeling in the region although not optimal. If you do this dive, you will find the typical species of Nusa Penida, such as dugong fish, white tip sharks, giant clams, manta rays, and Napoleon. You can enjoy the beauty of this until you are satisfied.

There are some definite points for the dive you may not forget for you to dive into, as follows:

Crystal Bay

In this area you will have experience of diving in underwater caves starting about 10 m from the water, and ended up in a hole in the bat cave. Crystal Bay is located in a very nice area and you will enjoy the beauty of the white sandy beach lagoon. Underwater structures very well with some variation of coral reef, you can swim comfortably. When the current is not strong, you can dive or snorkel so you enjoy the underwater scenery of the Gulf. You will find plenty of of fish, even you will see fish such as Sunfish and Nurse Sharks.


Manta Point
At Manta Point Dive site there are usually three or five Manta exploring this area. The condition here is that slope down to 50m. In this area are not a lot of coral reefs, only the limestone, but you will meet with Manta, tuna, mackerel and other pelagic. There is a wave that is usually present at Manta Point.


Malibu Point

  Malibu Point dive site is considered one of the best sites on Nusa Penida other SD Point and Toyapakeh. Malibu Point is a little more wild than Toyapakeh with large denominations jack, rainbow runner, tuna, reef sharks and stingrays. There's quite a lot of sharks, and stingrays. Visibility is generally very good, at least 20m. There are also several large table corals.

Location of Gamat Bay not far from Toyapakeh. The water is always clear and steep rock, and steep slopes leading to the the Gulf. In fact, Gamat the Gulf is the only best sites on Nusa Penida which does not always require drift diving. In this area there are many caves and crevices and other small reef fish and invertebrates here is incredible.

Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Lembongan is located in a protected area with water sports facilities and pontoons. The site is The shallow, 5 to 10m deep. You will see various types of soft and hard corals. This area is rich with coral reefs and a variety species of reef fish. Nusa Lembongan is a good place for novice divers to for training. It's also good for snorkeling.

Toyapakeh

Toyapakeh is a very nice place for sheltered from strong waves and currents. Although the current strong sometimes, usually it can be compromised. There are lots of Blue fish and trigger at some point near Pontoon, there are usually many Giant Trevally and Sharks. The depth coral reefs around 40m and you will see a very healthy coral reefs. The shallow areas are excellent for snorkeling. Crystal clear water with visibility up to 30m. In this area we can find some large pelagic fish.
  
Blue Corner
Blue Corner Dive site offers a sloping reef with a terrace at 20 to 30m. Currently here is usually stronger than anywhere else (it may reach 3-4 knots). This is one of the best places to see the Bali Sunfish (Mola-Mola). Usually, when a good condition, we can dive here. Of marine life similar to the SD Point but not rich.

Sampalan
Samplan dive site is located on the north side of Nusa Lembongan. Marine life similar to the SD Point by some lights under the water, the structure is what makes the difference. Some thermoclines are present in the deeper water. Some slopes are filled by soft coral reef fish floated to obtain nutrients from the water ...

SD Point
SD Point Dive Site has strong currents in the area, generally there are many Anthias around, sometimes big fish such as Giant Trevally, Sharks, and if you are lucky to see the Sunfish Mola-Mola (Sunfish for the season is between the months of June to October). Visibility around 20m and more. Usually 26 to 29C but temperatures can drop to about 20 degrees Celsius, this place is ideal for divers who are looking for higher adventure. Bali's dive sites stretching along the northern coast of the island of Nusa Penida. You will enjoy the best soft and hard corals in this diving site.
